Your First Visit to Our Cedar City Practice

Smith Chiropractic Welcome Mat

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

Make Yourself at Home

You’ll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities.

A complete health history will be taken.  We will conduct many standard tests such as height and blood pressure.  Next we will take digital pictures so as to do a complete computerized postural evaluation including Forward Head Syndrome and the future ramifications of your current posture.  Our examination will continue with a complete spinal evaluation for the presence of vertebral subluxations (the primary goal of chiropractic) as well as specific muscle testing that will determine muscle weakness caused by nerve interference that are just crying to be corrected to increase function and performance and reduce and eliminate pain.

We will check your range of motion  (how well you can turn and bend compared to normal values) as well as perform any orthopedic tests necessary to evaluate you health status and the cause of your pain or health issue. We will also take x-rays if necessary to get a clear understanding of your condition and any factors that could limit your recovery and in some cases to rule out any fracture or pathology.   Finally we will determine what we can, and just as important what we can't do for you and explore your options for care and what it will take to meet your health care goals.

We Explain Everything First

Dr. Russel Asks some important questions of interest to Cedar City residents - Chiropractor Cedar City Dr. Russel Asks...

What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Cedar City chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
